Autorenporträt

I grew up in the state of Arkansas in a little town called Marianna. I am the 7th child of eleven children, mother of two, and grandmother of two. I have always loved poetry of any style. I have been writing poetry throughout my entire life. I started at the age of fifteen. It was hard for me to express my feelings outwardly, so I put them in words; happy, sad, or in awe of nature itself. All the people that surrounded me became a forum for my writing. What started as a hobby transformed into a gift when I became a Christian. God gave me the inspiration to start writing spiritual poetry to encourage someone in their faith journey, to uplift the broken hearted, and to instill hope to those who feel like giving up, so that they may invite Christ into their lives and gain salvation and peace of mind in this constantly changing society.
