Dear reader... There is a multitude of wonderful meditative and contemplative materials one may use for a devotional time with God. I decided to offer something with a dual purpose. It is my hope that these sermons may be a blessing to you and that their messages may be an inspiration as well. I also wanted to offer something for homiletics students who are being trained for professional ministry. It is important for a student to be exposed to various sermonic writing styles as they hone their skills in writing sermons... The format I chose to present this work is one that is laid out loosely, as to regards concerning the order of the liturgical year. I hope that whether you are a person looking for a short devotion for the day, or a student of theology, that God will touch you through this work. May God bless you in Christ, Rev. Dr. Michael D. F. Sculley
