Rock fill dams are mostly constructed using blasted rock fill materials obtained by blasting rocks or alluvial rock fill materials collected from the riverbeds. In this paper, two modeled rock fill materials is investigated by using Medium tri-axial cell. Drained tri-axial tests have been conducted on various sizes of modeled rock fill materials used in the two dams. Tests data has been analyzed, Stress-strain and volume change behavior of rock fill material is studied and effect of size and confining pressure on axial strain, volumetric strain, Elastic parameter have been studied.

The author was born in a tiny village Ukhli, District Hamirpur (HP) India. He obtained his AMIE in Civil Engineering,Master¿s Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering from Thapper Institute and Phd in Civil Engineering from Punjab Technical university Jallander with specialization in rockfill material.
