Autorenporträt
Nandita Chakraborty was born in Kolkatta, India in a small conservative family which has always been associated with the arts. Her sense of creativity started at a young age. In 2000 she came to Melbourne, where she started her own fashion boutique with her partner. It was not until aft er a difficult divorce that she began searching for something that would define her purpose in life. She found solace in writing again. In 2011 she had an accident while rock climbing, falling 40 metres and acquiring traumatic brain injury. After several months in rehab she did continue working, but in 2016 she was back in rehab. She now has a blind disability and suffers from vestibular pain in her head with permanent cognitive issues, resulting in fatigue. She's not only fighting her disability but also depression and anxiety.
