Author John R. Mohn is a retired high school publications adviser who has taught in Almont High School, Almont, Michigan; and in the following Kansas high schools: Shawnee Mission East, Great Bend, Ellinwood, and Washburn Rural. John and his wife, Chris, owned and operated a weekly newspaper, The Ellinwood Leader. He was a visiting professor at the University of Evansville, Evansville, Ind. For 20 years he spent summers in Indonesia as a newspaper consultant to the Jawa Pos Group. He is a member of the Kansas Scholastic Press Association Hall of Fame and a Distinguished Alumnus of Neosho County Community College, Chanute, Ks.
