Charise M. Hoge, MA, MSW, is a dance/movement therapist, .writer, life coach, and performing artist. Her work in the healing arts includes programs for hospitals, counseling centers, businesses, the Smithsonian's National Zoo, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the World Bank. A yoga practitioner for twenty-five years, she integrates SynergyDance principles and yoga mudras in her teaching. Based on her experience living and working abroad, Charise co-authored a different kind of travel guide titled A Portable Identity: A Woman's Guide to Maintaining a Sense of Self While Moving Overseas (new edition forthcoming). Her poetry is featured in various literary journals, the book Next Line, Please: Prompts to Inspire Poets and Writers, as well as her chapbooks Striking Light from Ashes and Muse in a Suitcase.
