Yvonne Horsfield grew up in the Dandenong Ranges, surrounded by pristine bushland. She awoke each morning to the penetrating sound of the bell-birds, which are sadly no longer to be heard. Her love of the Australian bushland and its creatures are reflected in many aspects of her life. She lives in a three acre bushland setting on the outskirts of Ballarat. A teacher by profession, Yvonne has worked for many years as an Education Officer at both Sovereign Hill and the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, creating innovative programs for students of all ages.
