In the south side of the lovely Aylesbury market town in Buckinghamshire, Mel who had a love for trees was spending the summer holidays with his grandparents and his cousin Mikal. Seated around the breakfast table he vaguely tried to recall a dream he'd had the night before. It was quite bizarre! A tree (well, he thought it was a tree), was trying to chat with him. How could that be! Haunted by the dream, Mel made a wish that the Elm and Silver Birch tree in the garden next door could talk. Little did he know the power of his wish. The universal forces granted it and the trees materialised in his grandparents' dining room, with human features and magical powers to grant any wish that he or Mikal could think of. They had no idea of the adventures ahead, when they set out on their quest to find mango trees in the Gambia and Jamaica. Time travel and a vortex never crossed their minds, but when the trees reverted to their natural state, they had to conclude that it was the best summer holiday adventure ever. Their beloved magic trees vowed to materialise again next summer, and they can't wait for the magic to return. Their wish bag would be full of wishes by then!Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Jamaican born, Cee Bennett-Carayol, has lived in England since her teenage years. She trained as a nurse after leaving school and later graduated from Middlesex and London Southbank University. Since then, she has worked in education as a professional Careers Guidance Practitioner, where she has had the pleasure of assisting many to achieve their goals. Her interest in reading novels and writing stories developed from primary school, where reading was a regular pastime and was encouraged by her Aunt and Uncle. At school, she was always pleased when her teacher sometimes found her stories interesting, to the extent that she shared them, with the rest of the class. Her love for trees and nature in general is evident, especially amongst close family members. Incidentally, the inspiration for her debut novel came from an interesting tree, with wriggly leaves, hanging over her garden fence in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Other inspirational sources came from her clever grandsons, who the main characters of the novel are based on, along with her children and amazing family members, whom she shared a home with, in her younger years.
