Autorenporträt
Lonna Hardin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She in fell in love with music at an early age. Known for wanting to perform everywhere she went, a nickname emerged, "Songbird." She began singing in choirs, writing songs, performing at talent shows, and pursuing her dreams. She is well-known for her neo soul and sultry sound producing hits such as "I Belong To You," and "Tender Mercy." After giving birth to her first child, once again her passion for writing was ignited. She longed to see more positive role models, characters, and narratives in african american children's literature her daughter could relate to. Lonna hopes children understand they have power to develop their own song and tune out those waiting to steal their song.
