Dolly Bhowmik is from Kolkata, the 'City of Joy', but has lived in different states of India throughout her life. Her experience of living and working across the country allowed her to witness the kaleidoscopic variety of India and its people. She started telling stories from an early age, and her favourite childhood activity was composing poems. She draws her inspiration from her everyday interactions and believes there is a story worth telling even in the seemingly ordinary lives of people.
