El Dr. Ajay Mandal trabaja actualmente como Profesor Asociado en el Departamento de Ingeniería del Petróleo, IIT (ISM), Dhanbad. Ha publicado más de 110 artículos de investigación en prestigiosas revistas internacionales. El Dr. Mandal ha sido galardonado con el 2015 SPE South Asia Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty.
