Autorenporträt
Lily Ann Graff was born and raised in Madrid Spain, where she studied Fine Arts and Interior Design. After raising four children, she earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish at Utah State University and a Master's in Spanish Language and Culture at the University of Granada. She resides in Houston, Texas, where she teaches high school as well as college level courses in Spanish and English. She maintains her interest in the arts - painting, writing, music, and dance, and fi nds ways to integrate appreciation for the arts in her teaching of language. As a young adult, she served as a missionary for eighteen months in England, which gave her the opportunity to interact with people of all social classes in their homes and to travel by bus, bicycle and on foot in city and countryside. In this collection of essays, she wistfully recalls her experiences in the country she came to love.
