Systemic genetic disorders can be inherited as dominant or recessive traits from autosomes or sex chromosomes. These disorders exhibit a variety of oral manifestations from stomatitis to anodontia or even oral malignancies. The diagnosis of these lesions may play a crucial role in identifying the underlying inherited disorders. This book throws light on the orofacial manifestations of commonly occurring genetic disorders, the knowledge of which may help dental professionals in the anamnesis of the underlying genetic condition and thereby suggesting an appropriate holistic management. This book also tries to overcome the paucity of research work pertaining to implications of Mendelian analysis in Dentistry.
