Biosensors are gaining more importance over physicochemical methods in monitoring the level of analytical pollutants in the natural samples. Enzyme-nanoparticles bioconjugate are playing vital role in the analysis of pollutants from the polluted water and soil. Types and concentration of phenol contents were efficiently sensed by bioconjugate quite distinctly, because of the substrate specific catalytic mechanism of enzyme. Nanoparticles persuade enzyme for its greater efficacy and stability in the detection of phenol contents, because of their Surface Plasmon Resonance. Therefore, nanoparticles mediated enzyme based bioconjugate biosensor could be cost effective and at ease operation for the detection of phenol pollutants.
