This book is about the mentoring relations within a Brazilian centenarian relailer family business in the Northeast of Brazil, called Ferreira Costa. It shows how the mentoring process took place not only in the company, but also in the owner family thoughout its 5 generations, 3 of which still actively working in the company. It also shows how the family beliefs and values were handed over throughout the generations as well as which were the most important values perceived by its members. The company is 130 years old, and is in great expansion in the region, with new branches in Garanhuns, Recife (2 stores) Salvador and Aracaju. In the near future, two other stores - João Pessoa and Natal- will be opened. I hope this book contributes to highlight mentoring as a positive process in a family business, and especially that through this process, much can be taught to alike businesses.
