Autorenporträt
Elvin C. (Whitey) Myers was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania and received his education in the local school system, graduating from Altoona High in 1952. He went to Fort Wayne Bible College in Fort Wayne, Indiana where in 1957 he received his BA degree with a major in Theology and a minor in Missions. It was there that he met and married Elizabeth Ann Bruner and to this union were born five children. In 1958 he and his wife joined the South American Indian Mission (now the South American Mission) and in 1961 went to Colombia, South America where they served as missionaries to the Colombians and the Wayuu Indians until 1978. After returning to the U.S., they served churches in Anton, Colorado; Clearbrook, Virginia and Nokomis, Florida where he still serves as associate pastor at the time of this writing. His wife, Elizabeth (Betty) went home to be with the Lord in 2008 and he has since remarried. He has also written Understanding Your Bible, Approaching The Word of God From Age To Age and Joseph And Mary, The Keepers Of The Secret.
