This book deals with the controlled release of urea and gibberellic acid from beads and mesoporous methylcellulose films. The gelation of MC in DMF was studied using dynamic mechanical analyzer, Differential scanning calorimeter and optical microscopy, where the duality in the 3D network was observed. The rheology of methylcellulose gels in N, N dimethylformamide was investigated to prepare the beads and porous matrix, which may attract the focus of scientists, researchers and PG students of chemical and physical science. Moreover, the porosity in the MC films is induced by leaching of embedded emulsified wax particles. The diffusion of the drug molecule from the porous matrix was also investigated using different models.
