Introduction: Chronic neck pain is a frequent reason for consultation. Its management is multidisciplinary, combining drug therapy and rehabilitation. In order to alleviate patients' pain more rapidly, or even more effectively, practitioners use complementary therapies such as acupuncture and mesotherapy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of these two methods, and to compare them. Methods:Prospective, multicenter study, conducted in 2015, on two statistically comparable groups each composed of 25 patients consulting for chronic neck pain. Results: Significantly faster improvement in pain in the mesotherapy group, but equivalent at the end of treatment. Conclusion: There is a beneficial effect of these two therapies in the short term. Studies with larger numbers of patients, and versus placebo, should be set up to confirm these results. In the meantime, this leaves it up to the practitioner to choose the method he feels is best suited (especially in terms of contraindications) for his patient, the one he is more familiar with and/or has better access to.
