With the increasing prevalence of obesity in the world population, the frequency of this pathology among women of reproductive age is naturally increasing. Thus, among women of generative age for those with excessive body weight, according to world statistics reaches 50%. The frequency of obesity among pregnant women according to various estimates ranges from 18.5 to 38.3%. The most frequent obesity metabolic disorder during pregnancy is gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). In this regard, the correct organization of screening examination of the population of women in the region, including pregnant women, characterized by a high birth rate will make it possible to carry out the earliest diagnosis of GDM and pre-GDM, improve prevention methods and improve the prognosis of the pathology.
