Ha frequentato un corso post-laurea presso l'Istituto della barbabietola da zucchero (Kiev), nel 1989-1993 è stato stagista presso Florimon-Depre, KBC, Istituto di ingegneria genetica (Bulgaria). Autore di 6 ibridi di barbabietola da zucchero, 3 brevetti.
