Walaa Hussein ist Professor für physikalische Chemie an der naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Al-Azhar-Universität. Außerdem ist er Mitglied der wissenschaftlichen Berufsvereinigung in Ägypten. Mitglied der ägyptischen Korrosionsvereinigung.
