For somebody to move ahead in life,the person has to know how to predict or manipulate the spiritual realm.This, the people remind themselves and teach their children using different means one of which is the folktale. This study titled the Metaphysical Content of Igbo Folktales explores how the idea is imbedded in the folktale, which is a literary genre meant for children.

Aloy Nnamdi Obika, PhD é docente no Departamento de Inglês, Universidade de Madonna, Nigéria, campus de Okija, estado de Anambra. Obteve a sua licenciatura (Hons) em inglês na Universidade da Nigéria, Nsukka (UNN). Obteve o seu mestrado (MA) pela Universidade Nnamdi Azikiwe, Awka. Para o seu doutoramento, teve de regressar à UNN.
