Coordinative capacities are extremely complex capacities that influence the quality of the motor act and all the activity that involves movement within human activity. Agility is considered as the maximum expression of the conjugation of all coordinative capacities and the sum of the capacity to sprint, accelerate, decelerate and change direction, elements of utmost importance in soccer. That is why it is required that this capacity be developed in soccer players, especially in the formative categories. Taking into account the above elements, the objective of the present work was to carry out a study and analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations that support the training of agility in soccer players of formative categories. In the study, documentary analysis and content analysis are used as fundamental methods, providing as main result the systematization of the theoretical and methodological foundations that support the training of agility in soccer players of formative categories.
