The foundation of modern synthetic organic chemistry was built on the pioneering work of Akira Suzuki, Richard F. Heck, Ei-ichi Negishi, Fritz Ullmann and Irma Goldberg on the C-C, C-N, and C-O bonds formation reactions. In their work they explored the reactivity of un-activated aryl halides in cross-coupling reaction to obviate the need of electron-poor aryl halides that was typically required for the classical nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction. However, most of their work requires either one or both partners should be aromatic. In comparison to these the field of formation of the C-Hetero bond on an aliphatic system still needs to be explored. Hence, in this book I am describing my work on development of simple one-pot methods of carbon-hetero bond formation reactions on the aliphatic system. These work mainly include methods for C-B, C-N and C-S bond synthesis.
