Methods of seismic resistance analysis of structures with consideration for marine environment influence are reviewed. Requirements to the structural reliability of subsea pipelines are much stricter than those set to underground and overhead pipelines. It is related to the greater corrosive power, significant mechanical impacts, and difficulty of repair works. The pipeline failure rate after earthquakes increases almost without exception, however, pipeline operation departments do not always associate the failure rate increase with an occurred earthquake.
