Several local ballots were also held on the same day, most notably: The election of a new Head of Government and new Legislative Assembly of the Federal District. Gubernatorial elections in the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco and Morelos. Municipal and local congressional elections in those three states and in Campeche, Colima, Nuevo León, Querétaro, and Sonora.
