Autorenporträt
Stephen Neufeld is an assistant professor of history at California State University, Fullerton, where he researches gender and the history of masculinity in military contexts, and social-cultural history in nineteenth-century Mexico. Michael Matthews is an associate professor of history at Elon University. He is the author of The Civilizing Machine: A Cultural History of Mexican Railroads, 1876-1910.
