FHP reduces the average length of muscle fibers, which would contribute to an extensor torque about the atlanto-occipital joint, and it is possible that this shortening reduces the tension-generating capabilities of muscles. So the aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of Myofascial release technique versus Exercises in patients with forward head posture. Group A received myofascial release, Group B received stretching and strengthening exercises. After 2 weeks of treatment, it was found that as p value for Group A and B was 0.0001, Group A and B proved extremely statistically significant in reducing pain, improving ROM and CV angle in patients with forward head posture. However, when compared between Group A and Group B, Group A is more effective in in reducing pain and Improving ROM than group B. For CV Angle, group B is more effective than group A. The study showed that both myofascial release and stretching and strengthening protocols are equally effective in reducing pain and increasing CVA and improving Cervical ROM. But when compared between two groups, Myofascial Release is more in reducing pain.
