Michael Pössinger (18 January, 1919 23 May, 2003) was a West German bobsledder who competed in the early 1950s. He won a complete set of medals in the four-man event at the FIBT World Championships with a gold in 1951, a silver in 1954, and a bronze (tied with Sweden) in 1953. During World War II he was a highly decorated Gebirgsjäger and one of only 98 soldiers to have been awarded both the Knight''s Cross of the Iron Cross and Close Combat Clasp in Gold.
