Autorenporträt
This Dewey Lynn story was initially written and published in its entirety as a serial blog by Michael B. Thomas on his website The Thomas Miscellany in 2021-2023. From its beginning, it was never intended to be one cohesive tale. The idea was that Dewey Lynn was sitting on his back porch drinking coffee and reciting his memories to one or two unknown listeners. Thus, both content and language have been changed. Some content has been added to the original conversation; some has been removed. The language, especially grammar-wise has been made more "proper" and less conversational for reading purposes. I hope it doesn't lose too much country flavor. Once, each part of the story stood on its own merits. Now, they are one, hopefully, made stronger by the bundling.
