Micro insurance is the protection of low income people against specific perils in exchange for regular premium payments proportionate to the likelihood and the cost of risk involved. Micro insurance specially designed for low income people in terms of coverage, premium, and delivery for manage their risk. The study aims to find out the awareness levels, to examine the perception, analyse the satisfaction levels and to evaluate various operational problems faced by the micro insurance policyholders of LIC of India, Kadapa Division. Majority of the sample respondents were not aware of the micro insurance schemes of LIC of India in Kadapa Division. The study suggests that LIC of India should take steps to spread awareness about their micro insurance products through online and television advertisements, newspapers, Posters, Pamphlets and other distribution channels. Micro insurance not only provides a platform for LIC of India to enlarge its boundaries and increase their market share, but it also provides the chance to enhance insurance penetration and insurance density among the low-income people.
