zwei Sätzen
„Es war einmal, da gab es eine einzige Vergangenheit und viele mögliche Zukünfte. Dann kamen kluge Männer, jeder von ihnen erzählte von einer anderen Vergangenheit und jeweils nur von einer Zukunft.“ Das ist eine der kleinen Science-Fiction-Geschichten des britischen IT-Spezialisten O. Westin, die in der Kürze eines Tweets Ideen komprimieren, die im besten Fall einen ganzen Roman oder eine philosophische Abhandlung tragen könnten, oft auch nur Klischees aus Hollywood-Filmen aufspießen oder kleine Einfälle fiktionalisieren. „Aus Sicherheitsgründen wurden die Roboter so programmiert, dass Ethik für sie an erster Stelle stand. Als sie merkten, dass ihre Energie aus Kohlekraftwerken kam, schalteten sie sich alle ab“. Eine Auswahl dieser oft mehrfach verschränkten und verschachtelten, manchmal fiesen, manchmal witzigen, manchmal rätselhaften Mini-Storys ist jetzt in Buchform unter dem Titel „Micro Science Fiction“ erschienen.
