R.Z. Sayyed is a professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology, PSGVP ASC College (North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon), SHAHADA, India. Currently, he serves as a President of Asian PGPR Society of Sustainable Agriculture. To his credit, he has received the Prof. M. M. Sharma Award from Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Vignyan Parishad, Mumbai (2018); "Best Teachers Award" (2016) from the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, India; "Green Globe Award" from the ISBR, Bareilly, India; "Young Scientist Award" for the years of 2005, 2008, and 2012 from the DST and DAE, GOI, and Maulana Azad Shikshan Bhushan Pruskar (2005) from MSO, Dhule, India. He has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in Microbiology and Biotechnology. He trained several graduate, post-graduate and research students and produced 07 Ph.D.s under his guidance. Authored and co-authored over 146 research papers in reputed national and international journals and 20 reference books and 50 text books published by reputed National and International publishers. He has successfully demonstrated the transfer of laboratory research to farmer's fields in PGPR related technologies. Delivered many invited talks at several South East Asian and European Countries.
