Dr. Shao received doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering in University of Maryland, College Park. His research focuses on developing a full functional microfluidic planar bilayer platform for studying membrane biophysics. The important discoveries he made with his colleagues in Dept. of Biology includes the dynamics of ceramide channel.
