The main objective of this research is to simulate and fabricate the Microstrip patch antenna using Left-Handed Metamaterial so as to improve the return loss, bandwidth & other important potential parameters like directivity, gain etc. Compact Microstrip Antenna technologies are emerging as an innovative way to meet the growing demand for more powerful, cost-effective and highly efficient wireless communication systems. This modified Antenna can also be used as biomedical radiators for the treatment of tumors and hyperthermia by increasing the temperature of human body using this small size highly directive Microstrip patch antenna. Using Metamaterial, parameters of antenna could be modified up to a great extent whether it is return loss, bandwidth, directivity or gain of the antenna. Even the size of the antenna can also be reduced to increase the demand of the antenna in small scale applications.
