Heather Wholey, PhD, is a professor of anthropology at West Chester University. She is an archaeologist with a specialization in the prehistory of the Eastern Woodlands. Carole L. Nash, PhD, is an associate professor at James Madison University. She is also the director of the Shenandoah National Park Environmental Archaeology Program.
