Autorenporträt
Reader, writer, student, historian, theologian, archaeologist, world traveler and photographer, Linda lives what she writes. A professional writer for three decades, Linda has earned the title of "story weaver", investing her heart into every tale she tells. The daughter of hardworking farmers in beautiful Montana, she enjoyed a serene childhood during which she learned to appreciate the written word. "My father's mother had been a pioneer school teacher, our house was full of books. Dad was a reader, artist, and historian when he was not farming". Interests in English, ancient history and women's studies led her to degrees in Christian Education from Northwest Christian College, Eugene, Oregon and Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky. She and husband, Robert, both ordained Disciples of Christ ministers, served as co-pastors for twenty years. A second career grew from becoming active in the writing community of Fort Worth, Texas. Linda has belonged to Dennis Beck's Continuous Writer's Workshop, Robyn's Critique Group, Fort Worth Writers and Romance Writers of America. She taught Creative Writing at Tarrant County College for fourteen years. Linda draws upon her expertise in history, archeology and religion to weave historical romantic fantasies. To date she has nine fi nished manuscripts and currently is marketing a fantasy novel, Midnight Amethyst.
