This is a story of a boy's life, first growing up on a farm in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, then leaving to encounter the broader world beyond. The author, Keith (Kim) Miles, went from spreading manure and shucking corn to the halls of the White House and back home again, savoring every minute (well, almost) of an unexpected life.
