Autorenporträt
Melville Hurd, a Milford native and member of the Milford Historical Society, attended Milford Preparatory School before attending Southern Connecticut State College. An avid postcard collector and fossil hunter, Hurd was president of the Maryland Geological Society for many years and is currently a life member serving on the board of directors.
