Martial Arts Master Percy James Brown was born and raised in Montgomery Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement. As a youth he participated in marches led by Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. He joined the United State Marine Corps at the age of seventeen and served as a Machine Gunner. He began studying Martial Arts after being attacked and robbed at the age of seven. His studies continued during and after his service in the Marine Corps. In 2013 Master Percy Brown was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame/Hall of Heroes. In 2016 he received a certificate in appreciation for dedication to the Martial Arts and for significant contributions to furthering peace, harmony, and universal happiness. The certificate was presented by the Action International Martial Arts Association.
