Karen Sherman, Ph.D., has been in private practice for over 20 years. Her first book, "Marriage Magic! Find It, Keep It, and Make It Last" was originally published in 2004 with co-author Dale Klein. She is a contributing author to 101 Ways to Self-Improvement, Vol. 2. as well as The Power of Persistence. Karen is a featured writer on Yahoo Personals, has a weekly blog on ThirdAge.com, and writes the Disputes column for Hitchedmag.com. She is interviewed regularly in the media including Men's Health, Family Circle, Self, Women's World, Long Island's Newsday, Crain's NY and others. She is a frequent guest on talk radio stations, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Sherman conducts a variety of workshops on relationships and lifestyle issues at Westchester Community College; Queensborough Community College, Roslyn Continuing Education; YEO - Albany Chapter; Knowledge Net¬work-Albany, NY; and Pathways - Manhasset, NY. She also hosts her own teleseminars as well as through a leading NYC PR company. She's a frequent speaker at Clubhouse of Suffolk, ILR at Farmingdale State University, Returning students program at CW Post, and various NY area libraries, and is a member of a national speakers' service. Additionally, Dr. Sherman serves on the faculty at CW Post University. Her memberships include American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, Nationally Board Certified Counselor and she is a Certified National Family Life Educator and belongs to the National Registry for Marriage Friendly Therapists. Karen resides on Long Island, NY, is married and has two daughters, a son-in-law, and grandson. In her spare time, Karen enjoys reading, traveling, and playing Suduko.
