On the issues of mine safety in this manual dwells on the characteristics and causes of traumas and the methods of analysis, investigation and generation of mitigation, as well as, the creation of normal sanitary and hygienic conditions of the working environment in the mines. On the issues of mine rescue in this manual dwells on understanding the accidents which could happen and their warning signals, based on which rescue plans could be developed in advance for the prevention and timely liquidation of accidents which might happen, based on having the necessary working tools put in place and building solid skills and the understanding of individual responsibilities among all in case of any accident which might happen in the mines.
Autorenporträt
Antipas Massawe and Savinus Maronga have PhD degrees in Mining Engineering from Moscow State Mining University in 1989 and in Chemical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in 1998 respectively. The authors are teaching and consulting in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering at the Department of Chemical and Mining Engineering of The University of Dar es Salaam.
