This book studies a different type of sands from the coast: El Oualidia and El Jadida in the DOUKKALA region (Morocco). Our sand samples have been physico-chemically characterized by analytical techniques such as sieve granulometry, mineralogy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). These analyses revealed that the main component found for these sands is silicon dioxide (SiO2), with the presence of impurities (iron, clay and organic matter). The objective of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the behavior of cement mortar made with the sands studied as a base.
