Autorenporträt
Jo D'arc is a writer, musician, producer/DJ and artist currently based in Glasgow, where she is also a passionate community worker and activist. Originally hailing from Dunfermline in Fife, Jo began writing at a young age. She was forever scribbling poems, lyrics or stories on scraps of paper or the back of her hand. Grounded in music, Jo has begun to experiment with her writing, bringing her storytelling from those scraps of paper into the world of written and spoken word. Jo sings and plays bass guitar in alternative art-punk band The Twistettes and social-commentary-fuelled dystopian gutter rock act Girobabies. She can also be found behind the decks DJ'ing techno/electro music as DJ Jo D'arc or cranking out sassy soul, doo-wop and pristine pop as Jo Jive and the B-Hive 5.
