Since that time, the Institute of Postgraduate student (IPS) has carried on all postgraduate student activities. However, it seems a huge effort has put in the way of the postgraduate office development, one of them the registration of the new incoming studying to UMP. Since the way of IPS development one issue is still not solved properly, which is the time of the postgraduate registration after getting their official admission letter? The objective of this study is to firstly modeling the postgraduate registration process using Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model. Secondly, latency of traditional postgraduate student registration systems without further assessment of the software that had been used. Optimization waiting time the best scenario with lowest waiting time. The outcome of the study is to provide good hospitality to new students during their registration process by minimizing the waiting time. In addition to providing good hospitality will increase satisfaction among students to study in the UMP.
