'Ministers of the Free North Church, Inverness, 1843-1974' is an account of the ministers who served in one of the most prominent of Highland Presbyterian congregations in the North of Scotland. In the period covered, 7 ministers were settled in the charge. These were the predecessors of the author of the work who was himself the Free North minister from 1975 to 1990. The biographical detail of these evangelical and Reformed preachers and pastors is interwoven with the history of the times in which they lived, and gives insight into the impact they made through their ministries, and some of the serious issues they faced in Church and community. The book is illustrated by images of the various ministers. It contains a Foreword by his wife, Mrs Georet Ferrier, through whose initiative it has appeared posthumously.
