The issue of retirement has received considerable attention globally and continue to be a major discourse in academia. The aim of the study was to do a comparative study between the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and the Assemblies of God on the experiences of retired ministers. The study made use of qualitative research approach and further employed descriptive cross-sectional studies. In sampling the respondents, probability and non-probability methods were employed to select a sample for the study. The study reviewed the SSNIT pension scheme; also the disengagement, activity and continuity theories of retirement were discussed. The results from the study indicated that there are some level of disparities among the salary and allowances structure of the PCG and AG. Salary and allowances were paid based on the level of education and whether the minister was a full time or part time.
