Autorenporträt
In May of 1939, perhaps from fear of the growing Nazi presence in Europe, Jimmy Dyet's parents took Jimmy age 3 and his older brother age 8 onboard the Athenia and sailed from their native Scotland to Canada to begin a new life. During the very next voyage of the Athenia, a German U-boat torpedoed and sank it sending many to their deaths in the frigid waters including approximately 50 women in a lifeboat which hit a propeller. The Dyet's ship docked safely in Montreal. Jim believes God spared his life so he would serve Him through Christian writing. To date, Jim has completed writing contracts for six Christian publishers, and has authored 20 books, hundreds of articles, scores of devotionals, and numerous Bible studies. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Jerry Jenkins Christian Writers Guild and conducted writing workshops throughout the United States and Canada.Upon arrival in Canada, the family lived in Ottawa for two years.
