Maya is a gifted Author, Inspirational Speaker, Life Enrichment Coach, Psychic, Palmist, Artistand Registered Psychiatric Nurse.She is a warm, engaging and inspiring person and this is what drew her into the profession of psychiatric nursing, something she continues to do.She was born in Holland and at age one, her family immigrated to Australia.She met her husband Trevor Knight (an internationally acclaimed entertainer, horse whisperer and story teller) in 2003 and he introduced her to another world. With his encouragement and support she came into her own to become an accomplished and sought after Lecturer and Inspirational Speaker on board Princess Cruises and, up until Covid-19 affected world travel, she was a regular guest lecturer on board Princess Cruise Ships inspiring people to Manifest All They Are.In February 2020, while travelling around the coast of Africa, she experienced a catastrophic event. She was diagnosed with a massive brain tumour. It impacted her ability to think, to talk and to function. With only months to live unless something was done, she could feel the essence of 'her' start to diminish. She had to dig deep and was surprised when instead of fear she found joy and instead of hopelessness she found faith.
