Your girl Nikki Ali is a writer, teacher, dancer, and activist originally from Brooklyn, New York, and now based in Newark, New Jersey, where she lives humbly on the original homeland of the Mohican and Lenape peoples. As her author persona, Nikki writes queer erotic romance, fiction, and poetry where love and fulfillment are for every body and sensuality is an integrated part of our lives. She also publishes books on writing craft and a yearly anthology of heartfelt writing with her creative circle. By day, Nikki teaches on the university level at a small school in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she learns from and laughs with her students every day. She is privileged to travel the world, both solo and with her students, as an ancient historian and archaeologist. By night, as her alter ego Mistress M, she mentors and guides writers in finding their own curated writing rhythm and deepest sensual expression. Books and stories saved Nikki's life, and she loves helping more beautiful books make their way out into the world. Nikki is a belly dancer, slow but avid runner, devotee of Sufi poetry, and lifelong practitioner of yoga. She delights in art, symbol, mysticism, divination, and the esoteric. She is committed to the global rise, healing, and joy of the world's oppressed peoples, and to inner and outer liberation for all.
